Live rock is composed of old coral skeletons that have become encrusted with coralline algae and a variety of other plants and invertebrates. It also carries nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, as well as heterotrophic bacteria and other micro-organisms. The living ecosystems we create start with the quality of live rock selected. It will be the back bone of your reef system.

VO premium live rock is a choice material on the basis of colour, weight  and shapes. The coralline algae are predominantly the lighter shades of purple and the surface may have nice irregular texture.  Small colonies of soft corals and zoanthids may also appear after several months.
